Blogging is a slightly narcissistic activity. I get a platform upon which to use my voice and speak to my industry. If I'm authentic, real and transparent it's a great way to develop relationships online, over time and over great distances. So far, you are responding evidenced by growing readership and lots of "how-to" questions. And I want to keep it that way, so if you've been out there thinking:
What do you want me to write more about? Leave a comment or send a direct email if you want.
For those of you writing your own blog, I bet you do it because you have something to say. So think of this: When you do your job, you gain a platform, which means you get to use your voice. Stop doing your job and you lose your voice. For most of my readers who love blogging this means you must continue one of two things: Scheduling and attending listing appointments if you are an agent or recruit/train/motivate/de-hire if you are in leadership. Those activities give you your platform. Of course the question then becomes; "Now that you have my attention, what do you have to say?".
Blogs won't bring you immediate business. Over time, your voice probably will.
